I've been in the Middle East for this holiday several times -- fun family time, but it can be tough to be around if you happen to be out and about at butchering time (sorry to be an ethnocentric cultural relativist).

Happy Eid ul Adha
This Muslim holiday celebrates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son (Ishmael). What an interesting contradiction -- an ethnocentrist cultural relativist.
