Isn't the McCain campaign getting a bit tired of distraction? A man who was sanctioned as a member of the Keating 5, and a woman who has tax troubles/Troopergate looming/who's husband was part of a group who wanted to secede from the US, are questioning the fact that Obama served on a committee in Chicago with someone who committed a crime WHEN OBAMA WAS 8 YRS OLD??? Palin references a NY Times article saying the two were associated, but clearly didn't read the article, because it specifically says "the two men do not appear to have been close."
Painting Obama as a terrorist or having terrorist leanings is nothing short of bigotry. Give it a rest, the man had as much to do with choosing his middle name as McCain had in choosing "Sidney." And serving on a committee with someone who Mayor Daley says has been of great help to the schools in Chicago, doesn't seem to be a terrorist act.
Might they be trying to avoid real issues?? An economy in the tank? An inept/fanatic VP candidate? Erratic behaviors like -- the economy is sound, no it's not, I'm suspending my campaign, but not really, I won't debate, I'm here to debate, etc.
