Back Home

Well, my theory that I was giving birth to an alien baby did not pan out. Ended up being severe dehydration causing gastroenteritis giving rise to moderate pancratitis (sp??). No idea how the dehydration happened, I have no recollection of not drinking. But eight IV bags, xrays, ultrasounds, enough Vikadan to keep House happy, and a ton of blood work later - it was dehydration. Hurt like nothing I've ever felt before, so I'll be drinking like a fish from here on out.

Served as a nice reminder of what kind friends and family I have. Thanks for all the help with this unexpected turn of events, and well-wishes.. I'm now home with some VERY attentive kitties who don't understand why 'mom' deserted them for 3 days.

I'm glad that you're back home and feeling better!

Don't know if it would be any use to you, but they have vitamin/flavor packets you can mix with bottled water now so drinking it is more pleasant :) I'm not much of a water drinker either, but perhaps I'll make more of an effort now...

Thanks again for everything this summer!

Sorry I had to poop out (ha!) on your last few days in town. Thank you too for all your help this summer. I'll get back to you within the week on the paper.

Glad you are home, and that its not kidney stones, that must be a relief! Now have some water.

Hospitalized with gastroenteritis and severe dehydration, eh? That sounds vaguely familiar... I suspect The Curse has found a new way to strike!

Glad to hear you've recovered!
