Here are 2 articles that are interestingly intertwined. The first is about a Palestinian-American professor at Barnard College whose tenure was in question because she published a book in 2001 saying that Israeli archaeology is driven to provide a basis for the existence of the country. The second is about Israeli prehistory being destroyed because, as an Israeli archaeologist says, the Israeli government is only interested in sites that provide information on the history of the Israeli state. Hmmmm.
